Would you Pass the Salt Please?
Isaiah 5:20, Matt 5:13-16, 1 John 4:6-7, Romans 13:1-4
Let’s look at the Muslim belief for a moment:
1. Muslims are sincere and devout but that is not enough
2. It is a good thing to believe in God, but it is not enough
3. We are not trying to appease an angry God: we are learning how to fall in love with our Creator, Redeemer, and Friend
4. The greatest tension between Christian and Muslims is the difference between Muhammad and Jesus Christ
5. True Christianity is spread by love and choice – Islam is spread by sword and force
What are we to do as Christians
Salt – salt is a preservative.  It will not stop decay from happening, but it will delay it or slow it.
1. The Church cannot be silent – salt is no good till it is on the front line
2. The Church cannot be inactive
3. The Church no longer can be ashamed of gospel and what we stand for
4. The Church must repent
5. The Church must pray
